It hurts me to say it, but Kotuku isn't going to be very active on the race course this year. Too much work to do. Our company is growing like crazy right now and I have traveled 7 of the last 8 weeks. And there is more to come.
And when I am not travelling I am busy trying to be a dad and a husband. Teaching the girls skiing, climbing, and how to irritate their mother. And how to sail, of course. We have been getting some cruising in this winter, and we had a wonderful time in the San Juans, with a couple of trips back and forth to Port Townsend where grandparents are now permanently stationed just off the Pt. Hudson buoy.
Look for Kotuku on the race course for Southern Straits, and for Race to the Straits. I would love to do Oregon Offshore, but May is looking busy. June on the other hand is a lousy month for racing--unless you happen to be doing the VanIsle--but a great time for cruising. Look for Kotuku to head north and try to catch up to those pesky VanIsle boats, right after school gets out for Talia, laden with fishing gear, crab pots, and other weapons of mass destruction.
Hope to see you on the water soon!
